 Irfanview - Using irfanview to scan document

Irfanview allow you to connect to the scanner directly and scan the picture directly into the editor for cropping and simple editing.  It is pretty amazing that a small editor comes with some much features.

I do have to agree that it would be even better if I can have a few layers to play with, but there are always work around to get the things working.

To scan a image directly into irfranview, you can use the following steps.
You will need to get your scanner installed, so irfanview can know how to source for the image.

. File --> Acquire. (Ctrl+Shift+A)

I am so used to the software, that short-cut key is always my preference.

After scanning your image, you can call upon the Paint Dialog for cropping and editing.
  • You may use F12, or
  • From menu --> Edit -> Show Paint Dialog
From the Paint Dialog, you can see there are plenty of tools for you the annotate on the image.

This is only one of the many features that make this a great desktop tool.
